What times and days of the week are the meetings?
The meetings begin at 7:00 pm and usually last until 9:15 pm. The meetings are usually the 2nd Friday of the month, and meetings are held every other month
What is the makeup of the meetings?
The first hour of the meetings focus on planning future social activities and the second hour of the meetings focus on discussing a discussion topic pertaining to adults with learning disabilities
How long has the Fun Bunch existed?
The Fun Bunch has been in existence since September 1999
What is a “Greeting Meeting” session?
A Greeting Meeting is a meet and greet session that will allow you to determine whether or not you feel that the Fun Bunch Social Support Group is the right group for you
Are there any fees associated with the Fun Bunch?
Yes, there is an annual fee of $25 per person. Of course, each member is expected to pay his/her own way during social events such as eating at a restaurant, etc.
What are some of the types of social events that the Fun Bunch does?
The following is a list that the group does
- BBQ’s/picnic’s
- Concerts/festivals/fairs
- 4th of July block party/watching fireworks
- Birthday Celebrations
- Educational/historical trips
- Shopping trips
- Holiday celebrations/parties
- Beach trips
- Pool parties
Due to COVID-19, the Fun Bunch is also doing virtual events once a month
What is the current age range of the Fun Bunch members?
The current age range of the Fun Bunch members is from 18 years and up.
What could I do to help a Fun Bunch Board Member?
The member should ask the Fun Bunch Board Member how they could help. A member can help with any of the Board Members as long as the member has an interest in the subject that they are willing to help with. If you are unsure on how to help, taking pictures is an option.
